Amanda Seales – A Natural On The Mic
So I’m chillin’ on IG the other day and I see that my guy Justin from the Local Color Podcast, based in Bmore, posted about Amanda Seales’ new podcast.
I loved the caption.
It’s shit like that, that typically makes me stop in my tracks.
A Quick Note: A lot of times, I won’t remember a celebrity’s name. I’ll typically refer to them as the character they played or “that person from that movie that was doing that thing”. So it was no surprise that I didn’t even know I knew who Amanda Seales was. When Justin posted about the episode, I thought it was a new, up and coming, independent unknown. I tuned in, recognized her voice and was like ….waaaait a minute.
Anyway…Amanda is excellent behind a mic. And rightfully so…she’s a stand up comedian.
She sounds like she was born to be a communicator. She feels the same because she said (in her first episode) that she was “good with words”.
Peep…I listened to the episode that Justin recommended. Then I feverishly looked through her other stuff and landed on the episode with King Bach (it was about working with friends). Then I jumped to her first episode, which was all about dealing with insecurities. All three were damn good. Do yourself that favor and tune in below. Also, follow Amanda on IG…she’s dope (not because she’s a celebrity, but because she’s actually interesting AND funny).
